NMP is an organic solvent used in battery manufacturing, that made the news in Hungary this week, since it was detected in ground water near a huge Samsung factory close to Budapest...
The problem is, I work in the laboratory who made the analysis, though in a different department... but I still had access to the actual results, and I learned it was present in really insignificant amounts
Even though it's definitely the factory's pollution, which could be a problem, this is another example of the media blowing everything out of proportion
