I don't think I've ever seen one before, and to be fair, I haven't seen another 3D carbon plate on the road either.
But I think 3D carbon looks better than self-illuminated, especially for a car used for car meets.

Self-illuminated are only for very specific cases, i.e. for vehicles without built-in plate lights, where this is easier & cheaper than drilling some kind of lamp setup into the body. They are not made to look good

How long you have this plates ? I have seen similar plate on VW T3 in Zwickau, in june.
