For those who don't know: the airbrush portrait shows Kim Larsen, a famous Danish singer often called "

anmarks nationalskjald" ("

enmark's national herald"), who started his career in the band Gasolin', the most popular band in Denmark during the 1970s, in close competition with Shu-Bi-Dua.
After the breakup of Gasolin', Kim Larsen went on to have a glorious solo career and continued performing even after being diagnosed with cancer. Gradually weakened by the disease, he started using a walking cane and near the end would spend every concert sitting on a chair, but he refused to surrender, even when it became clear, that the cancer would be fatal.
Kim Larsen died on September 30th 2018. His son Hjalmer has since become very popular in his own right, insisting that people judge him as Hjalmer, not as "the son of Kim Larsen" - nevertheless, their voices have very strong similarities and their songs also share an extreme level of catchiness and in the same genre of pop with a twist of rock.
The sentence "This is my life" below the portrait, is the title of a Kim Larsen song, written back in the Gasolin'-days, but remaining in his live catalogue throughout his entire solo career as well.
