It's crazy to think that this type of modification was the business about 10-15 years ago, especially when everyone was watching The Fast and The Furious at the time. Nowadays, these modifications look hideous (or it does in my opinion), though people will be saying the same thing 10-15 years later at 'Rocket Bunny/Liberty Walk' Ferraris and GT-R's.

Was you walking around and capturing all the modified and damaged cars at the time you spotted this? :)

It's funny I was thinking the same thing as I was uploading these, you just don't see such awful cars these days (I agree with your opinion!!).

Well this was before I could drive, so I remember taking photos of "Spanish cars" (The Seat's), some funny modified cars, and the damaged cars - because you just couldn't see a car in that condition in the UK, it would be taken off the road by the first police car that went past! I went back to school and showed my friends what I saw. Turns out many many years later I would find them and be uploading the suitable ones for others to see this window into the past :D

Not at all, though that said, i do see an extremely modified Citroen Saxo/Peugeot 106 (it's so modified, i can't actually tell :D ). I think it's great that you was photographing cars when you was much younger, i know i wasn't photographing as much unfortunately, though i must still have a lot of photos from 2010-2012 and earlier than that. It's definitely a good idea to upload them onto the site as well, so that they'll stay here for a long time hopefully :)

Sounds repugnant :D

I showed an interest in photography from a very young age, and in cars from even younger, so I guess it's no surprise they came together early on for me. That said, it was mostly at events or on holidays (where the cars were different), and of course many are not suitable for the site as they don't show the plates (or enough of the plate), and I've probably lost more photos through hardrive crashes than I still have which is a killer, so by uploading them here, it's a bit of a back up in a way, assuming of course this site will stay alive :)

Found the pic of the car, it's a Saxo BTW.

Ahhh that's a shame. I've had the same problem, especially when i was in Florida in 2005, when the photos of cars i took were either without plates, or i actually photographed the actual plates of the cars (I distinctively remember seeing some interesting personalised plates like a Georgia tag with 'SPYKID'). I too have had harddrive crashes, a real annoyance, so i'm thinking of uploading as many older spots as possible (though i still have so many spots from recently to upload, so don't know if i will find the time). :)

Cool old photos!, back in those days that kind of tuning was very popular here, but nowadays it's difficult to see them in the street. Terrible taste, but always nice to spot them.

It's horrible :D

And yeah, I just try to do a mix of old and new, I get bored of working on the new stuff, I mean, I only saw it recently. The old stuff brings back memories :)

It's a bit like my cousin, he had a black Escort XR3i, I was only about 9 or 10 at the time but I remember it, he had all these ideas for tuning like this, but someone smashed into it when he was parked at a friends house... Maybe it wasn't a bad thing :D (I think it was a good thing for me, it was the first actual plate I had in my room, and the start of my collection I guess, many years before I got another!)
