So I can’t enjoy having it on my profile as well ? You already have it on yours, do you really need to have both views ? For the site itself it would be better, but it is far from necessary and I’d like to keep it on my profile (there is also a decently high chance I see it again and get a better pic that time)

Poles are overlapping part of the car, that's what I mean. About Fiat, where do you see overlapping?

Alright, if you want to keep this photo, no problem, I don't need it that much, but reasonably mine's better, and you see, this kind of change encourages users to take better photos, if they don't want them to be replaced

You tried to replace the other photo of the fiat because it had part of the front wheel hidden. Don’t you feel like it’s completely absurd ?
Yours is better, yes, but the site is not only about rules. There is a large community part to it as well. And it’s much better for everyone to be kind and communicate to each other, as it brings a good atmosphere to the site.

quality is a thing, 5% of the car missing because of the flow of the traffic is definitely not something we should argue over and shouldn't even being talked about that :)

Yeah, front fender covered might sound like an absurd reason to change a photo, but, French gallery, as any other, has plenty of photos in bad quality or something else, even this one, with Bentley, and so by being so unselfish these photos wouldn't be changed for good, and that's the bad thing for community and site itself, because what's the sens of spotting something cool, if you can't change the bad quality photo. Maybe sometimes it makes sense to leave one low quality photo, may be somebody else will change it after some time. =)

lot of us (including me) spot for statistics not to get 100% perfect 4k quality on each of our pics with both sides, it's just not the same mindset, maybe people from other countries think like you and that's ok i can understand it, but in France the majority will always take the side of the data and the statistics over what could be considered as a perfect photo for you and many more :D (that's why having both sides for each vehicle doesn't feel right to the majority of us, we like to share and to help others fill their website data as much as possible) !;)

As much as I agree with the sense of community, I put a lot of effort into getting the best pictures I can, and photos such as this one sitting in the gallery simply undermine that. If the goal is statistics and numbers, then what difference does it make who holds the photo in the gallery?

If factors outside the author's control caused the quality of the photo, such as the traffic covering a small part on the previously mentioned diplomatic Fiat 500 photo, then I agree an automatic change is not suitable. However here we see a hastily taken photo that not much effort was put into, and for which there are multiple factors that justify its replacement with the clear, crisp, unobstructed photo taken by "T-zunami_". It's not really his fault that Paris is such a popular destination and so competition is fierce. Try going to Moscow and making the same arguments as you do to him, you won't have a good time.

The fact it’s the « normality » in Moscow as you said is not an argument at all imo, that just means we have to follow what people in the east does, here in France we usually don’t do stuff like this so you could also understand our point of view.
I always talk about statistics, yeah, our statistics, if you have one of a car by 2 people it’s equal, but 2 of a car by 1 people isn’t, i don’t talk about how many of a car is on the site, it’s not the point here =)
Sharing is the key here, we usually delete posts to let others have theirs if they don’t have a code or a model on the site, we are just trying to give the site a better community (only talking about France here) where everyone can get a bit of everything and specially not taking both sides of a car !;)

I always share too. I may often upload both sides of a car, but thats because I don't know which side somebody else might get a good photo of, so I will always lend one of my sides in every case. But I do it only if the photo that is replacing is actually good. Nothing special required, just not blurry and not obstructed. There is no bad camera, there is only bad photographers. So I believe the relevant effort should be put in. :pardon:

I changed only those that had worse quality, if the photo was same, or better quality than mine, I wouldn't even bother trying to change, just posted the photo in the comments. That's logical, if somebody will spot the car I upgraded photos of, but mine are worse, I'll let him change, no doubt, even if he'll have both front and back shots, no problem.

In France we want statistics, not quality you come one day in Paris and decide to delete every picture even of the old one.

Once again, I agree it is blurry, but you have one face, don't be selfish and let the others the opportunity to have this car. And btw, when I wrote you my first comment, I did not realize you were Ukrainian, I would've said the same thing if you were italian or american. I have nothing agaisnt ukraine at all !

Fun fact: It is still totally messed up to tell someone to “go back to their country,” regardless of what country it is. So deplorable of you.

That's where our opinions are different, I'd prefer keeping a view and you wouldn't

Well, then if you want it to stay, take a better photo

I specifically meant that I'd prefer keeping a view if someone asked me to change and they had the other view. In the case of a similar photo and no other view already posted, I wouldn't mind

In this context it's more like "go spot in your country if you don't like how we spot here" more than the meaning i think you are thinking of but still it was a bit messed up to say that in the comment section
