This is still cheap compared to Hungary, where 2000 kn gets you a customized plate in the regular format... and even the costs of a regular plate go above 278 kn
The individual vanity plates are even worse. I know no other place where they cost over 1000€ and the format is still limited (fixed number of characters, at least one number mandatory)

The country does not permit vanity plates that look like standardized ones, but - as far as I know - some select individuals get rights to pick a double serial letter by their own choice either in the ongoing or the upcoming series (e.g. AA, PP etc), and this might have to do with links with the police.

Samo ne mogu da shvatim, zbog čega su ove individualne tablice važeće za određeno vreme? Ako si isplatio toliko pare, nek' traje do kraja života, kô u Mađarskoj naprimer.
