So these ones were not coded, but the new ones are? Interesting.
Also, I assume this is owned by the US embassy?

Might assume that there are numbering blocks reserved for each embassy. It's likely that this is the US embassy judging from the fact that a DTS is used as the car of the US ambassador to Serbia as well.

I can't wait the Serbian diplomatic plates, but it's too bad I caught a bad photo of 37-A-001!

Old ones were also coded by the first two numbers, but there was never an official or authentic code list available for proper identification...

Interesting. Well yeah, I only ever saw one HU Diplomatic plate, in Bosnia, but without a photo. They don't seem to come to Germany often  :D
