Merkavim Pioneer

Scania N320 UB4x2EB

License plate of Israel, Regular plates

Hadera, Israel. 04.07.2024.

The model of this bus is in fact 3447 Pioneer (Scania N 320 UB4x2EB), not 3402 Mercury (Scania N 280 UB4x2). I chose the model 3402 Mercury (Scania N 280 UB4x2) simply because the correct model was not on the list.

I have been in the above posted bus and there was a plate inside that indicates the actual bus model and it is 3447 Pioneer (Scania N 320 UB4x2EB). Also I have been in a bus of the model 3402 Mercury (Scania N 280 UB4x2) and the difference between 3402 and 3447 is that 3402 has a rear window while 3447 has not.

Because it is hard to identify from the front, the solution is to add it to the current model, like the 3402/3447 Mercury (Scania N 280 UB4x2/UB4x2EB). What do you think?

Yea, you are absolutely right -- these two models are indeed tricky to tell the difference between them by their appearance only, so combining the two may work. However, these two models differ substantially under the bus body. Because of these substantial differencies, if we combine them in a way that out of the two models (Mercury and Pioneer) we only keep one (the Mercury) and completely leave out the other, we may, imho, lose some degree of consitency and accuracy. For instance, if we are seaching by model and using the ‘Pioneer’ keyword we are not gonna find the newly combined item because the combined item contains the ‘Mercury’ keyword in it, but not the ‘Pioneer’. Do you think it will be possible to combine the models while somehow keeping both of model names in the resulting combined item?
Another option, imho, could be not doing the combining at all, thus keeping the two models separate. In that scenario, should a user who adds the picture have doubts about which of the two models to pick, they can either choose ‘Don’t know’ variant mentioning in the comment that the vehicle is actually one of the two, or they can just pick one of the two, again mentioning in the comment that it could instead be the other one.
