Why oh why does Lancia withdraw from the European market? It's a stupid move to withdraw every model and only keep offering the Ypsilon in Italy...

Indeed it is, as I was a child we used to have a Lancia Y which had gorgeous red alcantara seats.... :bad:

Bad news :( Chevrolet's withdraval is worse for Hungary, it sold more, the Lacetti is still the 3rd most popular taxi after Octavia and E-Klasse...

But it would be better for the other GM-brand (Opel) because they sell cars in the same segments for almost the same prices. In NL Chevrolet sales went down from 8706 in '12 to 2346 in '13, so Chevrolet wouldn't really have any future here. But you're right about other markets, because Chevrolet will still be on the market in most East-European countries. Maybe Chevrolet doesn't sell enough units in Hungary to 'stay alive' on the Hungarian carmarket.

None of the brands sell enough =) there are more imported cars.

Btw, I haven't found anything of Lancia's withdrawal.

It looks like this will become an interesting story... A lot of Dutch/Belgian newspapers/websites stated that Lancia will withdraw from all the exportmarkets. The reference they used was an interview from the Italian newsmagazine 'La Repubblica' with Sergio Marchionne. But now (articles from today) state that these information is nothing but rumours, and that nothing is decided yet. Even the Lanciadealers didn't knew anything. So we'll have to wait and see what's going to happen with Lancia. Sure is that they won't survive with having only 2 Lancias and 3 rebadged Chryslers in their modelrange.
