It is called a "side-underview mirror" and is a part installed to check the blind spot on the passenger side that is not visible in the left and right door mirrors and to prevent left-turn entrapment accidents. In Japan, the installation of side-under mirrors has been mandatory for some new cars such as Land Cruisers since 2005, but since this car was made before that time,It is assumed that the owner installed what the dealer was selling as a factory option. Also, Japanese Land Cruiser enthusiasts nickname it the "mushroom mirror"

Interesting option
