Why are you surprised? There are 40'000 people living there, a huge part of them being normal people  =) They also have "normal" vehicles

And don't forget, they have a nice taxation system, so if you are situated anyway in the Swiss-Austrian area, I guess it's not a disadvantage to build up your company in Liechtenstein   !;)

I've found the true reason. Switzerland does not allow cabotage for foreign registered trucks. And for this reason Swiss trucks are not allowed to do cabotage in EU countries. Liechtenstein is exempt from this rules, it allows cabotage and FL registered trucks can do cabotage in EU. And in Switzerland trucks from FL are treated as domestic trucks (so they are allowed cabotage). So it makes more sense to register trucks that do international transport there.

Btw. Reich Transport has filled for bankruptcy about a year ago and it no longer exists.
