A car model you practically NEVER see preserved. Only just over 100 photos on the entire site, and 80 of those are from France.
The only Simca model that has a reasonable preservation status is the small Simca 1000, probably because it achieved a certain status in motorsports in the shape of their "Rallye" versions (1 & 2)
Just think of it... when did you last see a Simca Aronde? 1307? 1308? 1500? Horizon? 1510? Samba? 1301? 1510? Solara? Ariane? 1610? Vedette? Rancho? Tagora?
Some of these were branded as Talbot or Chrysler, but they were all part of the Simca-legacy, and they're all gone. There are probably a few of the vintage ones (early 1960s and older) preserved in museums and collections, primarily in France, but there's practically no chance of seeing one on the road, or even at a public car event of any kind.
My aunt used to own a 1960s 1100 5-door with the small taillights back in the 70s. Originally dark red, but the paintwork was badly faded and had that characteristic milky white, semi-rough texture/appearance. I still remember the registration: AL20760, old-style black enamel plates.
Very good description, Tasty

It's very sad these cars are almost not seen onj the roads no more, especially outside France. Everything has its reason, and in this case the cars were really hard attacked by rust. You could nearly hear the rust eating the steel plates...
Many years ago I owned a Horizon (or honestly, my girlfriend) and it was a dream to drive

Pity the car was scrapped after a while...
