Starting with this one, I will tag cars that are worth preserving. In Norway, we have a separate rule for this: "Motor vehicle worthy of preservation.
May not be changed constructively or in terms of appearance. May only be used on special occasions, such as motor historical gatherings and races, otherwise occasionally when the use does not cause unnecessary danger or inconvenience to other traffic."

One of my childhood favourite cars along with the successor Auto Union 1000S Coupé (they're basically the same car)

The two stroke engine gives it even more personality.

So this site definitely gathers different generations together for the same interest of cars and license plates!

I can confirm that after being friend to several members in here, and after a while understood they are a bit younger than me :) I'm 54 and have been a large fan of spotting cars as long as I've had access to a camera :D

I hope that at your age I'd have such a long experience with spotting cars as you have now! I'm 17 now so there's still time :D

Very rarely do people have an interest in one hobby all their lives. But if it works out, then in 40 years your collection will be the envy of colleagues :D

I'm sure you're right :) this is one of my earliest spots in my life, and I think I can say with the hand on my heart: 45 years later the interest of spotting cars has not decreased... !;)

The interesting thing is, that the longer you do it, the more rewarding it gets...

I don't really care much for most of my 2022-spots, since they are - after all - just the cars of today and also I like the style of older cars better, but hey... I just take the photos for the sake of history.

The older photos... that's where it gets interesting (for me at least), going through my earliest traffic photos from 2010, trying to "salvage" some readable plates here and there, looking them up in the vehicle registry...

Mostly, the quality is really poor (since the cars were just small parts of the original photos, concentrating on buses), but because they're so old, many of the cars are now long gone and I can go back in time, investigating their histories and see how well they did. Cataloguing the spots, it's possible to recreate an overview of what cars you'd typically meet if you went out with a camera 12 years ago. I see some many familiar model names, that I'd almost forgotten and can examine in detail, when they disappeared from the streets. I love to uncover their stories, even if the photos are very poor, they're still highly interesting to me.

So with that in mind, I can safely say, that in 10 years, car photos from 2022 will become very interesting, so the more photos we take today, the better the statistical material we'll have in 10 years, even if we find the cars "boring" today.
