Hi mate! It could be a reason, but have a look at any plate on any truck, which has huge mileage - plates are always readable (don't count mosquitoes ) and i'm sure that they are not replaced every 100k. My opinion - this particular plate has been changed with purpose.
antenn belugin smth is wrong with its surface - changed deliberately? or flash? Could be deliberate damage to make it unreadable for cameras, it looks too smooth for a roadkill...
I have heard that plates made by Utal (who has their headquarters near Poznań) wear out faster than other plates so that might be the reason.
