I didn't even know about this, I simply log in after 3 or 4 weeks and I discovered that some of my photos were deleted, after long exist in service... Which isn't cool

Właśnie zanim przestałem wchodzić (brak czasu), to zauważyłem że coś Cię nie było, po czym wszedłem wczoraj, a tu żadnego znaku życia od Ciebie, więc podejrzewałem że coś jest nie tak... ;)

I saw the report about master_toledo, is it sure that the other nick belonged to him? (did they have the same IP?) Even if it was him, I think he didn't deserve an immediate ban, only some warning.

Sonic101 was banned for active participance in a group for indirect PR of photos by method of initial like-boosting to take advantages in promotion his photos to POTD, while photos from other users loose any chances for this promotion. This fraudulent game looks like using doping in sports that allows achieve higher results unfairly. Earlier, Sonic101 was caught in use of multiple registration for the same purpose - for liking photos from his clone accounts. Master_Toledo_915 was banned for the same.
Two organizers of that group (Volvo_XC90 and Александр005) have maximal penalty of 45 day ban, while HuronMati was just warned for participation, without ban, because he was caught only in the first time.
P.S. Penalty for Master_Toledo_915 revised: ban time decreased to 7 days.

I suspected the same, sometimes they got several likes even on bad quality photos. Actually, there was someone else too, who earned many "photos of the day" with always the same nicks voting, usually on average, not special cars and plates. (Looks like he stopped doing it, but was never banned...)Is it possible to make a fair alternative to this cheating, where everybody benefits? (For example, subscribing to other nicks) Sometimes the "Popular" photos and POTD only depend on luck, as which photo spent the most time at the "top", and that isn't perfect either.

Yes, it's possible. Homer talks about system for subscription on (or following) photos by different criteria, such as user's nickname, vehicle brand and/or model, arbitrary text mask for LP (for example, literal combination), and so on.
More exactly, this system has been created in rudimentary statement, without ability to manage subscriptions (followings) by users themselves. To develop it, we should create customizable user profile in gallery to let users manage their subscriptions (followings).

Proszę mi wierzyć, jeżeli nie byłoby tego ogromnego wkładu pracy wykonywanej przez moderatorów każdego dnia, strona bardzo szybko zamieniłaby się w niekontrolowany potok zdjęć 600x400, kutasów, zwierzątek etc. A w POTD latami siedziałyby ci sami ludzie. Więc jak już ktoś został ukarany albo coś zostało usunięte (w polskiej galerii to najczesciej dublowanie zdjec jednego samochodu, niedoposzczalne ze wzgliedu chocby na oszczędzania mejsca na serwerze. Ma to sens tylko w przypadku lepszej jakosci zdjecia) - mielismy na to przyczyne.
