There was a greek ad by the local importer of Renault, in late 1977, that "warned" customers that since September 1977, the Renault car had nothing to do with the Dacia car. "Renault has absolutely no cooperation and responsibility for the DACIA brand car produced in Romania" & "RENAULT has not supplied DACIA with any component or spare part for the manufacture of DACIA cars, and has no responsibility for the technological applications and the quality of this product."
Funny how times change....

Interesting... though I suppose the parts were compatible between the R12 and 1300. I'm more amazed the 1300 was sold in Greece. I always thought our exports started in the 1980s with the 1310, but I stand corrected. Do you happen to know how many 1300s and 1310s (or well 1210 because engine taxes) survive in Greece?
