They said that, most probably, it will be opened in late December. We'll see.
There have been multiple bad accidents couple of months ago. Luckily, I didn't hear about any recently.

yes mate, we had to wait 8 hours at serbian-bulgarian border, because one accident inside border, (a kid was dead) and one 5 km down on the old E80 Road a turkish family car, and a turkish truck crashed head-on. truck was comming from Europe, and the turkish car from Turkey to go back his home in EU, asi heared they were a bit in a hurry, and atlast ended under a truck..

look, here we at the new highway that is connecting to border 8-4 Km distance took 8 hours, the people that came after us waited about 10-12 hours ..
look in 8 hours we got only moved over the viaduct, under the viaduct is the old E80 Road, where all trucks goes trough to cutt off the car's border queue a bit further the both roads connects.

that photo you see there is the begin of Queue border, this is just after the last Toll pay of the new highway, there is just 8 km to border!! the bulgarian polices warned serbian police, to close the tunnel (to get a bit space for border queue) you had to see when tunnel was back open, everyone runned to their cars and drived fast as they can do out of the place where tunnel gets closed.. man that was amazing moment, there was a scania with 500BHP Engine (V8) was very loud all vehicles were running engines very high lol

Oh my, that's terrible what has happened! But pictures like this are sadly very common during summer months when lot of people travel back to their homes, some are speeding, some even don't sleep enough and we see stuff like this happen. People need to be more responsible. And queues like that form very quickly when there's an accident, especially if it happens on one of the busiest motorways in the country like that one.
