Unfortunately no...
Long story short, few years ago there was a rule that 7 year old license plates must be changed. Starting January 1st 2020, that rule changed and it wasn't enforced anymore. At the time, my dad was required to change the plates and he did that in late December of 2019, just before the rules changed... Both him and me are mildly infuriated to this day whenever we think about it
