First UAZ in the Turkish gallery! Didn't know they existed here, do you know the story behind this one?

there is no information about how the vehicle arrived from the USSR all we know is that it's a 1967 model. friends father bought it secondhand and ran a mobile greengrocery store for years. He sold it secondhand in 1996. We don't know what happened to it after that

this is a very rare thing i think it probably entered the country through grey import. otherwise it's hard to see a USSR vehicle in a NATO country

I once watched a Turkish movie from the 80s and saw the same UAZ in it. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the movie.

I think these UAZs come from the Communist Balkan countries not the USSR. This is because, especially in the 1980s, hundreds of thousands of Bulgarian Turks entered Türkiye. It's possible they brought their cars with them.
