Having driven a RHD car in Spain (albeit briefly), I found that I adapted to driving this way pretty easily. It did help that I've been driving RHD cars for my whole driving career though, and I've not driven anything LHD yet. :)

I learnt to drive as a Brit in Estonia, so in LHD. I then started exporting cars from UK to Estonia as a hobby, so I was registering RHD cars for LHD roads entirely. Driving over 200,000km on the wrong side of the road in the UK in LHD and Europe in RHD, it gets to the point where its second nature. I just recommend an overtaking mirror like the Krugozor

A British friend of mine who had brought her RHD car to Switzerland told me the biggest problem was for taking parking-lot tickets or ordering at McDrive, she had to get out of the car everytime :D Otherwise you just get used to drive in the other way :D

I drove a RHD car in Germany for a year and had no issues, in fact I found it easier to parellel park because you sit on the curb side. For parking garage tickets I had a little grab stick and I simply reversed through McDrive.

As an owner of both LHD and RHD cars in the UK I can say there are no problems that cannot be overcome :) I use my LHD just as much as the RHD cars, the only small inconvenience is overtaking, but as I have a V8 I can hang back for a better view and still have the performance to overtake safely =) As for ticket machines and booths, I just sit on the centre console and lean across - it's not glamorous or classy but it works :D

I confirm too, living in LHD country and have been driving RHD cars for 25 years I experience the only problem. It's an inconvenience while I was trying to get a parking-lot ticket. The overtaking is not a big problem. There is one advantage that even better than LHD car is easier to get out from car to the sidewalk.
