Exige_240R Making use of their placement in Europe and seeing some of it perhaps!
Absolutely. It's great that some of the diplomats in London do venture out of the UK, though GB diplomats really don't seem very common abroad at all, much less common than other countries. I certainly haven't come across a GB diplomat when I've been abroad.
I have seen a couple in Northern France but that's as far out as I have seen - and that was probably just a "booze cruise" anyway I know if I landed an embassy job somewhere I'd be making use of my holiday time to see the surrounding countries!
It's a shame that "Booze Cruises" aren't going to be a thing anymore (Good ol' Brexit-related customs stuff and that!), even though I'm not one for splurging hundreds of pounds on alcohol. I did stop at Pidou in Marck near Calais last time I was driving home from Germany, and bought stuff for the parents, plus a fresh baguette because why not?
