Wolverhampton register taxis all over the country it seems. I presume it's a loophole for cheaper taxes/overheads. We have them in York too, operated ironically by 'York Cars', much to the annoyance of the local taxi firms who go through the rather tough process of getting licencing by City of York Council.

It's honestly crazy how many of these Wolverhampton registered taxis are around!
I read this news article (https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/black-country/more-taxi-licences-issued-wolverhampton-16501561) a few months ago, and it really does make me wonder if they need to bring back the legislation of getting licences from local authorities, because it isn't fair on the drivers who get their licenses locally.
