License plate without vehicle

License plate of the United Kingdom, 1903 year system

It is the first plate ever issued in Worcestershire! A former police constable gave me the plate as well as a few others.

The plate is worth £160k and was issued to the old police cars.

Great to have the history with the plate, especially an interesting history like this! My favourite plates in my collection also have history, photos and stories behind them :)

Indeed! He gave me a few other plates as well. He never told me he used to be a police constable because we went to get my dads new car (the MG) and the guy who gave me them was the owner. I didnt know about the history until I did the research. :)

A few other interesting ones is one from mexico I have, the car it is from was stolen and was found a month later. Another is from an old mg B and it used to be some sort of race car, you can type in SHW 666M and you'll find the car on the track, I have its front plate which is actually uploaded to the site. :D

My friend has a couple MG F and a TF at the moment, we have been restoring them, great fun little cars! I'm sure you will have some fun with it! That's quite cool that he gave you some plates too, I've never been given any plates when I've gone to collect a car :D

How long have you been collecting? I just followed the plate number you gave to Google and found your collection on Flickr and it fills the shed nicely! I have found a few of my plates already uploaded on this website which is always fun to find when I didn't know the history before getting them. But my most treasured plates are those from people who have given them to me and I have photos on the cars before coming off. I have lots of stories and I want to find somewhere to put the photos of the plates with the plates one day. Here's one from my collection that I found uploaded on here!

I've been collecting since January 2020 and my first plate was sent from a guy my friend knows in Hessen (Germany), and thank you for checking out my Flickr! That picture of the shed was taken some time ago and I really need to put my new ones up XD and Wow! That's brilliant that you managed to find the car! :)

I find plates on the side of the road too and my first roadkill was found just around the corner from where I live. The person who owns the car lives down the road, it's from a Hyundai i10 and another I found on the ring road in my town and the car the plate is from drove past me coming the opposite way some time later

Personally I'm trying to collect all 50 states, all age identifiers for UK plates and all the French department numbers or anything that I find interesting really :)

Plates would look nice on a bedroom wall or a man cave or something, my shed is in my garden and I've had it for just over a year. My parents had to get the TV in and electricity and then all the plates had to go up and i have so many they're going up the ceiling now lol

That's really impressive in that time, congratulations! It took me a good 5 years I think to track down Falklands! I'm not a member of Flickr but it is a useful resource at times to find things on.

That's cool that you saw the car from the plate driving - probably looking for his lost plate :D :D I also try to stop when I can to pick up roadkill plates, plus it helps there is a river ford crossing not far from me and you can always find plates in the water if you are prepared to get wet :D So far I've found just 1 foreign plate on the road which was super cool!

France should keep you busy for some time! I gave most of my USA plates away some time back when I decided to focus on other parts of the world instead. Russia and Ukraine are my biggest parts of the collection, followed by Africa and Pacific islands because I love how colourful their plates are. Plus I try to collect any plates with foreign alphabets because, well, I just like different scripts :) The more your collection grows the more you will find focus where you want it to go, took me a while to focus on certain areas more than others.

I agree that plates would look good in a bedroom... Here's a live view of my room right now (please excuse the mess, I'm in the middle of sorting lots of things out, including moving some plates around, hence the gaps). I'm living between two houses, and this is my room at my family house where plates are forbidden outside of my room :D I have also considered the ceiling but a bit worried if they fall down in the night when I am sleeping :wall:

Wow. That's an expensive collection :0 but yes, I screw them in to the ceiling and wall so they don't fall off, my plates have never fell off the ceiling because I screw them all in. Sometimes I take a few down for art projects since I'm studying art at my college.

If you're wondering where I get the Falkland plate from, I bought it from ebay from a guy called Frampers world of plates. I got it for £35 and I couldn't say no to that price xD it came from a minibus, he has one up for sale but it would set you back £50, it is from a tractor that was used on Mount Pleasant Airport, here it is https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363519116389 if you wanna check it out :)
Just beware not all plates are genuine but Frampers plates are genuine and he has been trading plates since 1975, he used to be a plate dealer (making plates) so he knows a lot about them. If you find a plate on ebay that looks off you can see genuine plates on this site, fake.holdener.net . it tells you about reproduction plates, samples and the scammers on Ebay that make plates for money and pass them on as genuine which is a shame.

Theres a place near my Nans house on the A449 and part of that road always floods at the traffic lights, people come flying down the road and they're too fast and don't have time to break and the people over here drive full Fast and Furious mode so you can imagine how it gets over there. Trust me I've seen it before a lot! :like:
There are parts all over the grass patch next to the traffic lights so it's always a joy when it rains for me because I know there's an idiot that drives through the flood xD

I noticed the Palestinian plate and the plates from the Middle East, I was wondering how did you get so many of those? I've never come across those kind of plates on ebay but they must've been expensive.

I noticed the NZ plates as well and I'm not sure whether you know what they are from but I found out just in case if you're wondering

AUG620 - green 1996 Jaguar XK8 (now BUS417)
DUE306 - white 1997 Subaru Legacy
TJ1098 - white 1989 Honda Civic 25R (now CEJ938)
ATOMS - gold 1986 Jaguar Sovereign (now BGJ726)

I know websites to check plates for France, Holland, Israel, UK, Ireland, Sweden, India, USA, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Italy, Isle of Man, Iceland, Czechia, Ukraine, Spain, South Australia and New Zealand. If you have any from any of those countries I'd be more than happy to help you find out what they are from.

Btw I checked your Israeli plates and all of them came back as nothing so they have most likely been scrapped a long time ago.

My friend has a couple MG F and a TF at the moment, we have been restoring them, great fun little cars! I'm sure you will have some fun with it! That's quite cool that he gave you some plates too, I've never been given any plates when I've gone to collect a car

You can definitely upload that. Especially if the CAR has not been spotted where your collection is located!

You cannot upload the same licens plate without vehicle if it is already on the site attached to a car.

I didn't know that! However, you can indicate in the Land Cruiser comments that you now own that license plate. :drink:
