It's a great spotting place indeed, I've been going here for a few years now. Basically there's a public footpath that runs alongside the motorway for about 100-150 metres, which is fenced off.

If I ever get bored of spotting from that vantage point, I can just walk mere metres away to the footbridge that goes above the motorway

(Not recommended during cold days in winter, where it gets really damn cold up there, being exposed to wind etc.)

That is pretty similar to the most recent place I motorway spotted at too! The bit where I stand is on a private farmers track which is just a tad further away from the motorway compared to the footpath on yours. There is also a bridge too very close!
