Super rare for a variety of reasons – anorak fact time!

North-East London reg codes were officially withdrawn from use on the 29th November 1996, following the closure and subsequent merger of the N.E. London VRO with the Chelmsford VRO.

For reasons known entirely unto them, Mercedes-Benz & BMW dealers who were based in the N.E. London catchment area got upset by this, and an exception was made enabling them to register new vehicles using the old N.E. London codes – this makes these codes extremely rare on any vehicles registered after that date.

Y-DMH was an ultra-limited series issued exclusively to BMWs. Just under 100 vehicles are known to have been registered in this series.
