When I go to upload and it needs an oldtimer tag, I go to add it but it doesn't appear so do you know why and what exactly it is for?
I know it is for old cars but not 100% sure as I'm still relatively new!

The Oldtimer & Tuning tags don't show when initially uploading a spot. People with the Community Council role & higher have the option to edit tags on previously uploaded spots.
The Oldtimer tag is for vehicles which are 40 or more years old. With UK spots, thankfully, we can find out the exact day the car was built and use that to determine this, however with countries such as Belgium & Germany - where there is no way to lookup a plate - one must use the last year that particular model was built as the date for determining compatibility of Oldtimer.
As of this comment, any car built before 12/07/1983 is classed as an Oldtimer

I also thought it was only mine that didn't work as all my fellow spotters.are community Council or curator so never knew this
