Just so you know, non-standard plate tag is when the plate's dimensions, shape, font, or spacing - or lack thereof - has been altered from the British Standard. It also applies if the BS code on the bottom right is missing from the plate.
Deliberately changed tag is used when the actual letters and/or numbers have been altered for the purposes of evading ANPR cameras etc. See: V80OCK. (Non-standard due to spacing, Deliberately changed due to the 0 being altered to look like a C)
There is still some debate among higher staff about which tag illegal spacing falls under, however as I described above is the rules as they currently stand.
