I didn't even know what model it was when I took the picture! I just need to spot a Solterra now

They were only just put on sale earlier this year, this is the first time the Crosstrek hasn't been named the XV for the UK market, so this is replacing the previous generation XV.

That one happens to be mine! lol. I had a 2018 XV and decded to get the new model, so ordered it back in Nov 23. It was one of the first into the country (arrived Dec 23) and it was registered January 2024. It actually arrived before the demo car of the dealership and the official subaru launch date- so I guess it was actually the first private uk-spec Crosstrek in the courty!

Always cool to see an owner discovering this site! How is it compared to the XV?

The XV was a solid vehicle. the Crosstrek tries to be better, but doesnt really succeed. The hyrid system makes no difference at all (same mpg) and less power. The new eyesight system is great for motorway driving - but the safety features activate all the time and are really annoying. If I had the choice now, I would stick with my non-hybrid XV. But generally, I am happy with the car... but will switch to the next generation asap if they fix the problems - and esp. if the introduce the 2.5NA boxer they have in the US!

I wonder if that engine is related to the 2.5L in my Legacy Outback. Likely completely unrelated
