mbenz222 This car did not originate in Europe, the VIN starts with JM6 while European Mazda VINs start with JMZ. I don't think it's US-spec either
Ahhhaaa, interesting. I hope I could see it next time I'm in York, as I can't find any records of this car on Carfax (North America/Spain etc. out of the question), as well as no New Zealand, Ukraine, Russia etc.. Definitely a mystery!

I found a record from a South African VIN lookup site that gives the model as just MAZDA, nothing from Australia or Singapore. I'd take the results with a grain of salt as sometimes VIN decoder sites will spit out results for any car, such as some Japanese auction sites recognizing USDM or Euro VINs
According to Mazdamanuals.com, JMZ = Europe, UK, Ireland, JM6 = General R.H.D. export markets (South Africa, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc.) If I had to guess, I'd say maybe ex-HK or ex-ZA
