I don't ever recall seeing a snow plough in person before but I have seen 3 in the past week! How bad has the snow been Yorkshire way? We've had more then usual here in Warrington, we didn't have it over multiple days last year.

Yorkshire was hit very hard with the snow on Sunday. Leaving for work at 5:30am, my Saab couldn't even get up the hill on my normal route to work, so I had to take a diversion, which I ended up seeing about 10 cars stranded in the middle of the road, along with about 5 trucks. Once I got to my workplace, it took 2 hours and 6 of us to clear a route for us to drive the trucks out of the yard. Driving down the M1 through West and South Yorkshire, I saw more stranded trucks and cars on the motorway and on slip roads. It was carnage!

Going passed Nottingham, the weather certainly improved thankfully, and by time I got to Northampton, there was no snow whatsoever :D We as a country are very un-prepared for this type of weather. I'm certainly considering getting all-seasons for my cars from now on!

Wow it sounds like you had it quite a bit worse that we did! And I completely agree with that last bit. One thing that does annoy me is people not driving to the conditions, tailgating you because there is a queue of traffic doing 30 in a 50 zone as its snowy and icy or people flying past you on dual carriageways, complete idiots. All seasons might be a good idea, it would be good if we had the law like Germany which requires winter tyres at certain times of the year but we simply don't get enough snow and ice for it to be worth it. Stay safe out there Jamie!

I love having four mismatched tyres on my car! :D (how is that legal?)
