It is oversized, however I don't think we should be allowing just being oversized as enough for this tag. These cars came with plates of this size from the dealer directly. My Outback is an example of this. The only exception I have is when the plate is also not rectangular, such as in Rovers etc.

What about the colour of the plate background? Is it not different enough for the tag?
