Volvo S80

2nd gen (124), 2006–2013

License plate of the United Kingdom, 1903 year system

This is the Lord Mayor of York's car, a stretched 6 door version of a Volvo S80 2.5T. Despite this site saying that the area code for this car is Leeds, the 'DN' code was originally affixed to the City of York, until 1974 where it was then reassigned to the City of Leeds (The code 'VY' was also affixed to York too, before being reassigned to Leeds). This was the first license plate issued by the City of York, and has been owned by the Lord Mayor over many years. The plate was previously affixed to a Vauxhall Omega Limousine.

Yes, I also appreciate them on Autogespot :)
Nice car btw, love those stretched Volvos, despite the leaders of GDR also had them (together with Tatras and Citroens) :thumbs up:

Ah, sadly not. I came purely for the buses this time around and didn't give myself much time to hang around for cars. Saw a Volvo and an old Polo on the way in and out, however the bus window was too fogged up to get legible shots of either of them.
