Wow...
At least when I did that it was an emergency repair to get me across Europe without being stopped. This Nissan looks like they planned to put it there! Guess they aren't staying here for long then...

Always best to be on the safe and legal side of things!
I reckon this Nissan came from an area of the States where front plates aren't required, so felt it unnecessary to drill holes into the bumper put the UK plates on it. Most of the time, these USAF owned cars return to the States after a certain amount of time.
