Nice one, If a Montego it's rare to see actually in Spain, Imagine how rare is an estate version, I've never seen one

I think that the sedans sold more than the estate models worldwide, but the estate did particularly well here in the UK and surprisingly in France too. According to 'How Many Left', only 22 of these 'Rover Montego DLX Turbo' (doesn't specify between estate, hatchback or sedan) models are registered on the roads of the UK, over 100 are declared as SORN (off-road) and the rest i presume were scrapped. I'm just happy to document cars like these, which are incredibly rare to see on the roads here. :)

Nice find!! I can't remember the last time I saw an estate... I remember ridiculing these cars, and now I am revering the car with interest and respect!
I really should start to photograph these old "classics" before they all disappear from our roads, there really aren't many oldies like these around my area, but I see more when I go further away from London.

Thanks :) I suppose they came out at a time when we were recovering from all the British Leyland strikes, and we just associated any BL product with 'shoddy quality' as a result, and soon it became a running joke. I found myself a few weeks ago looking at an old F-reg Austin Metro, and admiring it's simplicity and styling (or lack thereof). The styling does stand out from the crowd. There certainly isn't many of these vintage of car where i live either, so it's interesting to see them when i do.

I know what you mean, I saw an old Rover SD the other day at the petrol station, and although they were a bit before my time (I still remember seeing them as a child though), it really stands out compared to the modern "elegant" cars...
