Indeed, I was only I child in those times... My fathers family drove always Opel (Cavalier in the UK); Kadet, Calibra, Manta, Astra, Zafira, Monza, etc... I didn't inherited this tradition. Drive the same brand like you do
My family is mixed when it comes to owning cars. My grandfather has an interesting history of owning cars, having owned an Alfa Romeo GTV6 and Lancia Beta in the 1980's, and now has an Audi A3 which replaced his old Megane. My grandmother has owned Mazdas since the 1990's. My brother had a phase where he owned multiple Renaults, including some Renaultsport Clio's such as the 182 and ultra-rare Clio V6 too, but he's driving an Alfa Giulietta now. I've not owned enough cars to establish a liking for a particular brand, but it was also my brother who persuaded me to get a SEAT Ibiza for my first car, since he has a sporty Ibiza in his household also.
Cool history, especially compared to my family, where nobody is a car enthusiast

Nice spot too, the Opel version got rare in Hungary, but it used to be common.
