1 other DHR from Florida... I recently reached the point of duplicating the letter series' of Florida. I didn't know when I arrived back that the letter series is assigned in sequential order just like in Texas on the A12 BCD, ABC D12. Resulting in Certain letter combinations virtually assigned to specific areas, like is done Texas. I tried studying and comparing the COUNTY plate format of AB1 2CD... and I CANNOT MAKE ANY SENSE OF HOW IT IS DISTRIBUTED...

O this sequential order also applies to 123 ABC formats for COUNTY plates. 123 ABC for SUNSHINE STATE is too old now, I can't find enough to make a decision on this one...

Right now the “BA” series in Clay county is doing weird things. They were issued in order until 17BA250
THEN they skipped to 17BA370 issued in order all the way 17BA450 then the pandemic happens and the probate office is closed THEN they start at the 17BA350 and get to 17BA366 THEN THEY SKIP TO 17BA849 and issue BACKWARDS to 17BA837 now there just issuing random numbers like

819, 787 , 514 , 773 , 483 , 811 like they are bingo numbers oh and sometimes older series will appear in the middle of the new series random like in the middle of the AY series there were random AV and AS numbers issued

That's how it seems... I can't see any pattern at all ... Orange County gets all IR plates it seems, IR0-9, because I've seen nearly 6 or 7 different ones...

The bigger counties are even worse
take Talladega co. For EX they started the “F” series pretty normal until they completely SKIPPED the FC series went all the way to the FP series came back to the FC series then skipped back to the FR series and finished mostly normal THEN the G series started at the GH series and is issuing upwards currently and hasn’t even come back to the GA-GG series........I might have a slight obsession with AL plate and I have NO idea what I’m going to do when the new plates come out (with a new and likely harder to follow format my guess is 12A34B5 (2009) or 12A345B (2002) or EVEN 12ABC34 (1993)

I think it was more of the fact that the AA plates were more of a stopgap for people who bought a car from January to December 2014 and couldn’t stay on the old plate
OR
It could be like what happened to 17AL767 it was on a 2000 Suzuki Esteem but unfortunately about a week before I started taking decent pics it rear ended a 2017 Toyota Camry and totaled the poor thing.....
I am still kicking myself for not getting a DECENT pic
OR
I also noticed that 58ZZ999 was also not issued...... and ngl I’d snatch that plate for myself too

Yeah, AL is pretty lax about license plate rules (how do they let a certain ford pickup have 2013 plates and not get a ticket immediately)

819, 787 , 514 , 773 , 483 , 811 like they are bingo numbers oh and sometimes older series will appear in the middle of the new series random like in the middle of the AY series there were random AV and AS numbers issued

Hahahaha ! That's wild that you can observe on just the 3 numbers So TINY !

WOW THAT'S A VERY COOL OBSERVATION ! THANKS ! EXTREMELY INTERESTING !

I know right, I wish I could send entire photo galleries and share all of the over 2000 photos of Clay county spots alone without having to upload them just yet because I know I’m gonna find new ones, even better I wish I could start a topic on the site just for Clay county spots because I'd be able to carry it by myself.......

You can create topics there. And yes you'd own that lol

O, I can....... I thought that was only for
the FAWN-CY people...........it’s mine

1 other DHR from Florida... I recently reached the point of duplicating the letter series' of Florida. I didn't know when I arrived back that the letter series is assigned in sequential order just like in Texas on the A12 BCD, ABC D12. Resulting in Certain letter combinations virtually assigned to specific areas, like is done Texas. I tried studying and comparing the COUNTY plate format of AB1 2CD... and I CANNOT MAKE ANY SENSE OF HOW IT IS DISTRIBUTED...

Nobody:
Florida: soooo we gonna issue one here and one here and twelve here

I've even looked at the last 3 and it doesn't strike up any pattern or sense to me...

Sounds to me like order of the boxes...

Yes, it should be one of those...

Yeah, AL is pretty lax about license plate rules (how do they let a certain ford pickup have 2013 plates and not get a ticket immediately)

That's very strange

I imagine it depends on who places or throws the boxes where .... The stocker/delivery person has influence over the fate of your issued number !

Yeah, but what I can’t explain is this
17AA998 was issued (I have a pic of this one) and 17AB100 was too (pic forthcoming) but 17AA999 wasn’t........strange

Souvenir for an employee

I think it was more of the fact that the AA plates were more of a stopgap for people who bought a car from January to December 2014 and couldn’t stay on the old plate
OR
It could be like what happened to 17AL767 it was on a 2000 Suzuki Esteem but unfortunately about a week before I started taking decent pics it rear ended a 2017 Toyota Camry and totaled the poor thing.....
I am still kicking myself for not getting a DECENT pic
OR
I also noticed that 58ZZ999 was also not issued...... and ngl I’d snatch that plate for myself too

That's odd, what do you mean stopgap ?
