Is this some kind of import or Euro Spec model? The VIN comes up as invalid or Unknown Vehicle. I haven't seen any other Jetta in the gallery do this. Anybody have any clues?

Noticed that, maybe an error in the system?, maybe an import from Mexico?

Actually, you are correct! 3VW in the VIN is for Volkswagen Mexico, so this Volkswagen Jetta is an import from Mexico!! This is crazy!! This was the only car I spotted that day, and it turns out to be AMAZING!!
I do not believe this is a US spec car, the VIN comes back as invalid or null on two different searches, meaning it is likely not a US or Canadian spec car. It is likely Mexican or Euro-spec
gregolux86 I don't think this could be considered MEX-Spec. It was indeed made in México, but destined to the US and Canadian markets. Thus, it is US-Spec
The fact that this car's plate and VIN have issues coming up in the database suggests otherwise. Any explanation for this??

Exactly, I just tried it and got a bunch of errors and such. All of the Canadian VINS usually work in the US database, unless it's maybe a Canada-only car. Mexico mostly never work in the US database, so it has to be MEX-Spec.

Nice! I just remembered how Jettas made in MEX had front sidemarkers too and were basically USDM models. Not the most complicated homologation then
Great spot! You almost never see Mexican imports in the states, Canadian imports are much more common. There used to be a black Lobo with Texas plates in SF but they came back to a GT-R soooo

Thanks! I do wish I could find it again and maybe get a better photo, but I haven't seen it since. Quite a shady thing going on with that Lobo lol.

Definitely. Haven't seen it in a while so probably went back to Mexico or got seized by US Customs

VERY late reply but if the VIN is WVW/WVGZZZ it is a definite Euro-spec.
