I would bet money that that truck has never been on US soil, We don’t get DAF trucks or really any recent COEs

No, decorative US plates are very common, espcially on trucks.

No. It is a real plate. It is not registered to the truck. It is just a decoration. You could go buy a real Japanese plate and put it on your dashboard. It doesn't mean its fake, just not registered to the vehicle.
