So I'm not sure what I'm going to do about uploading photos from here on out. I have 400,000+ photos of cars and license plates to upload onto here but I simply do not have the time or energy to upload every single one of them. Thinking about bulk uploading the photos onto my other Flickr page but I'm just not really sure what to do.

400,000??? That is insane! Personally, I love your car show spots, older combos on newer cars, and ofc I enjoy plates spotted far from home. Maybe focus on those? I like seeing the typical traffic in Greenwich as well, but maybe focus on the more special photos? Just my two cents, wondering what other people will suggest. I have nowwhere near the backlog you do, but I am saving some for the winter when I am less likely to go out and spot, and also the constantly salted and dirty roads make spotting here in the winter difficult

You could "gift" them to other users and have them post giving you credit.

It's definitely not my solution, but I have always found "gifting" photos strange. I will post the occasional photo that a friend or relative sends me, but other than that, I am not personally a fan of seeing tons of photos that someone posts that are not theirs

I've done a few, mostly from counties that I don't have a chance to post from (I've done Finland and Norway recently). I think one of the rules is a user can only upload 10 non-owned photos per day, so it wouldn't be like a huge flood. However, it does seem that some users abuse this rule.

Gotcha, for me, I do the exact opposite. If someone sends me a photo from a rare state (let's say Hawaii because my friend recently sent me one), I specifically will not post this because I want my numbers to reflect similarly to what I have seen, but that is just how I do it. And to your other point, yeah there are definitely a few people who post more than 10 per day. Can you point me in the direction of that rule?

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's strange. There's more pride in uploading photos you took yourself rather than uploading other people's content.

Got it, I totally see your point! My only thought is with the amount that you and I post, as active members in the US gallery, I figure that the out of country pictures won't "water down" my stats. I've done some gifted pics and most are out of country ones, so the US stats are pretty accurate to what I actually see.

Here is the link to the rules: it is in Russian (I'm bi-lingual), but is under rule 9. Apparently only 2 are allowed per day, but I've seen the mods say something about 10 at some point so maybe these are out of date and need to be refreshed?

Totally understand, just thought I'd offer a suggestion
 :) :thumbs up:

Like Naterez71 said, maybe sorting them into different categories would help? You could try uploading your car show photos first, then switch to the traffic spots afterward. Another thing you could do is upload your personal favorite spots, or the spots you'd think other people might like more than usual. One more suggestion: You could put the more interesting spots into a folder, then just upload some of those one night, while uploading the less interesting spots to Flickr another night. I'm not sure if alternating between platforms is something you'd personally like, but if you don't like, then you could focus on Platesmania and the interesting spots, or Flickr and the less interesting spots. I hope this somewhat helps!

I believe someone recently got warned for uploading too many gifted photos at one time, but when I became active on the site in early or mid 2020 (I joined in 2019), the rule was 2 friend photos per day. Now, I believe you can upload 10 friend photos per day.

My thoughts exactly. I've seen people steal photos off of the internet and upload them here before, and it would be something pretty intriguing. The only problem is that the "coolness factor" is erased because it's from the internet. Same with gifted photos in some cases.
