That's odd, Mississippi doesn't issue front plates, unless this person specially requested one, maybe just because they were going overseas. Nice way to display it, though. It's very visible to everybody.  :rofl:

That's odd, Mississippi doesn't issue front plates, unless this person specially requested one, maybe just because they were going overseas. Nice way to display it, though. It's very visible to everybody.

It was simple paper copy. Front plates are required for international travels (officially and technically), even if the country/territory where the vehicle is registered only has a rear plate (although most Americans don't respect this law  :D ). It won't stay with its Mississippian plates for long though so I guess it was made more as a matter of courtesy for the Rotan municipal police and the Civil Guard. If I'm not mistaken, you can ask for an offical plate copy at local DMVs in one-plated states ?

Correct, any state should be able to issue a second plate either for free or a small fee (probably the same fee price as losing your plate, typically $10-$20)

Ah, ok. I thought it was something along those lines. I can confirm that any state can issue an official copy of the plate, as I saw a South Carolina plate on the front and the back of a car once (it was the same plate). Thanks for the information!
