This reminds me of CT plate 7AGGD7, which was around here months ago. It's already moved here, unfortunately, so I'll never have a photo of that plate.

ahh gotcha. The whole 1ABCD2 was a really terrible combination and didn't last very long. Once CT ran out of 123-ABC, they went to that. Once law enforcement realized they couldn't see the plates well, they added the dash to become 1AB-CD2, which also didn't last very long until they finally decided on AB-12345

I never knew the story behind those plates until now! Thanks for that! I personally thought they were just a weird format they decided to use just because they could lol

Wikipedia also comprises information of regular issues by US states, but has lack of pictures of specialty plates.
