I typically find that my photos of more interesting cars tend to do better for likes than my interesting plates, which is a little surprising in a site dedicated to license plates

Those are very nice! I also find that when someone posts directly after me and the photos start to fall back, they get less likes as well. It's just the nature of the site

I've observed pretty much the same thing. I don't think people really care much about vanity plates, but they care a lot about low and/or rare plates, as well as interesting cars. As you also stated, people uploading immediately after you can definitely reduce likes. These are just some things I've noticed, but correct me if I'm wrong

I've noticed the same about a few of my own Colorado plates, but I don't mind, as long as I think it's cool or has meaning to me I don't mind if it only gets a couple likes. I just like to share what I see and whatever happens next happens.

Now, does it take effort for you to find Colorado or Wyoming Vanities ? I think Wyoming seems difficult, Colorado, not so much, or you make it look easy. Here in Illinois, I don't even try to find these they're just there regardless lol. Only a Small Fee to get Vanity here...
