Censorship on US plates is strong, any term considered "offensive" is not allowed. Sometimes, a foreign word will sneak by, like this one I spotted. Unfortunately, the US government does not like us having fun.

It's up to the states to decide what is considered "offensive." For example, Maine used to have no censorship at all for license plates. Meanwhile, here in Texas, there are many rules on what is not allowed on number plates.
