No. In Delaware, D is not a symbol. Neither is C or PC. This is the same standard used when Massachusetts plates are uploaded, and other American plates. Hope this helps

But it is a symbol. It's right there, in the plate... Just because it's a fixed format for the dealer plates does not mean it's not a symbol. I kind of understand for the ones that have the smaller stacked letters, but not here.
You are welcome to think that, but the truth is that it isn't a symbol. That's how it works in DE, and that is why this is #ThreeSymbols, regardless of your opinion.

When I click on #ThreeSymbols, I logically expect to see license plates that consist entirely of three characters. Anything else is wild interpretations to me.
You are welcome to that opinion, but that’s not how it works in DE. This is #ThreeSymbols all day long, whether you like it or not. I don’t plan on critiquing your Bulgarian or UK posts, so you can go ahead and leave mine alone also

There's nothing wrong with your spots, they're great. So you can critique mine as much as you want as well. I just find this usage of this hashtag illogical. It's like if I said a German plate from Hamburg "HH-A 1" is #TwoSymbols, because HH is a mandatory element... it just doesn't make any sense. It seems this usage has been weirdly accepted among other USA spotter colleagues so I'll leave it at that. Happy spotting!
