One of my concerns with Florida is the law that prevents the legislature, as well as housing authorities, from banning dogs based on their breed. This is troublesome, as pit bulls are statistically the most dangerous dog breed, causing over 66% of human casualties by dogs. In fact, someone died from a pit bull as recently as this February in Florida. I would push Florida lawmakers to protect its citizens by restricting this innately dangerous breed, and preventing any further suffering to the humans and other animals that pit bulls can’t help but terrorize.
