Yea, my school and other schools in Hoàng Mai District have an excursion at Sơn Tây Temple where we have an offering ceremony and an initiation for some students who are qualified to join the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Then we head over to a resort where we have a BBQ party and chilling there for a few hours. We head back to school at 2 PM and arrived there at 5 PM. Hoàng Mai District is the latest district in Hanoi to have an excursion trip fo students, almost every other district have an excursion trip for students in October-November 2023. Although there's nothing much to do in Sơn Tây but I kinda enjoyed the relaxing and chilling atmosphere there, espicially after the exam season I just finished yesterday (second mid-term exam season). Now we only have one exam season left: the graduating exam of junior high school.

That's wonderful.

Back in 9th grade, we had the same ceremony as yours when we go to Văn miếu Trấn Biên just 4 km away (instead of possibly 50 km), and we had the same praying for good results and the like. And we had a photo shoot of the entire class too.

It's weird that as I grow up, the nature of school excursions changes. Like, in primary and junior high, we would go to a historical site and an amusement park in the same day. Now, in senior high, we visit universities as organized by the school; the class chooses their own destinations at the end of the year. On the flip side, my school has a spring camp. Good times. :)

Anyway, I have prepared my hunt for a Škoda tomorrow. I'm attempting it twice: once at the Škoda dealership, and another at the test drive in Thủ Đức. I've planned the journey, it takes almost 3 hours by bus (my own bike won't cut it). So, good luck to myself.

Take care.

Thank you. I have also questioned myself why my school didn't go to a nearer places like Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám (15 Kms away from my school and more popular too) instead of Văn Miếu Sơn Tây (55 kms away). I have also heard stories from my siblings that when they were in senior high school, they also went to universities or camp sites organized by the school instead of amusment parks or historical sites when they were in primary and junior high. At the end of year classes also get to choose their own destinations (one class in my siblings grade even had a trip to South Korea, the parents must be rich to afford it). I'm looking forward to experiencing the senior high school trips, it really sounds interesting!
On the Skoda hunting problem, I will go to their experience centre at Liễu Gai St this weekend, I really hope it doesn't disappoint me like the last time. Also good luck on catching the CSGT Charger, it's one of, if not the rarest car in the whole country.
Take care of yourself too, and good luck on your Skoda hunting trip tomorrow!

Hello there, I'm back. There are Škodas, but again, none had plates. :( Well there's another chance this Saturday...

What a disappointment. I think it has something to do with Skoda's sales in Vietnam. Due to it's expensive price (more than 1 billion VND for a 5 seats SUV, the Karoq is really high, compared to Toyota Raize which is only 498 million VND) so there's barely customer for Skoda. I have been to a Ford Dealership before and both outside and the garage, there're a lot of cars with license plates (probably customers' cars).

Update: Well I went to Skoda's Experience Center today at Liễu Gai Street and once again, there were Skodas but none of them had plates. Well I guess my Skoda hunting trip failed.

Hopefully, I will also try to catch other rare cars and plates in Hanoi.
