Almost certain this is an ex mail van, It's in the (then) colours of the danish postal service, PostDanmark, and they had a tone of these Transit Connects.

No, they don't... not really sure why, since it would certainly be more practical in many cases, but perhaps a car like this is part of the explanation...

Danish ex-postal vans have always been sold on to private customers after being retired, but the market for RHD-vehicles is extremely small and most of them would be impossible to sell. Exporting them would not be much easier.

I've found some old Swedish postal vans for sale in Estonia but most of them end up in scrap yards for parts sadly. I think you might be right on trying to make a bit more money back.
