1954 Opel Olympia Rekord Cabriolimousine
The very first version of the Olympia Rekord. For a few years, Opel followed the US-trend of annual model-changes - this version was produced from autumn 1953 to autumn 1954, with this particular car first registered in june 1954.
The somewhat unusual model designation "cabriolimousine" is derived from the model having a soft top, but stiff window frames except for the rear window.
The special danish characters Æ and Ø have not been used on new license plates since 1958. Originally Æ-plates would be used on cars from the Tønder/Aabenraa/Sønderborg region (southern Jutland), while Ø was used on cars from the Ringkøbing area (western Jutland)
