I rarely see any S40s which led me to thinking they might have some engine problems? Same thing I've thinked about V40s which seems to have an unusual short lifespan

I don't think they have any significant engine problems, they are still quite common cars here in Finland  :)

In Norway they have a short lifespan, but that's a Norway thing I guess  :(

I can easily imagine some clean S40 with Dutch plates  :D They were even produced in Belgium

Engines are good and in general they are good cars. But when it comes to rust.... You cant save it anymore even if you try to.
