Chevrolet Bel Air

2nd gen 1955 4-door Sedan (2403; A-body), 1954–1955

License plate of Denmark, 1958/1966-1976 - system

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door Sedan

The car is a 1955-model, as pointed out by Oxblood, but the first registration date is listed as April 6th 1956. It's very normal for old cars to have flawed registration records, but usually, when there's any doubt about a registration date, it will be entered as either January 1st (meaning "probably early in the year") or December 31st ("probably late in the year") - these dates are used, because all businesses are closed, so everybody will realize that the dates are placeholders only.

Aarhus, Denmark, May 2016 at the classic car park of the 2016 CRAA car show.

Age of plates: July 2003

First officially registered 1955-model 4-door front view on the entire site. There may be one or more not fully specified, though, so I can't say it's definitely first on the site.

Well, I'll be damned! You are right, thank you. I looked at the (reported) year of registration, and compared it to the model upgrades around that time, noticing the grille type, but you're right, the 1956-grille was wider (although of the same design type), including the turn lenses.

Nevertheless it is STILL a first of its kind here, just a 1955 instead of 1956. :D
